The Greater Grand Forks Attachment Parenting International Support Group of North Dakota/Minnesota has scheduled meetings the 3rd Sunday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Community Room at McSparron Family Chiropractic. Topics vary each month and occasionally the group will meet at a different time or place (e.g. pumpkin patch, Santa's workshop, etc.) so feel free to contact Erin for upcoming meeting information or to receive a monthly newsletter via email with meeting and community information.   Contact API Leader, Erin McSparron at emcsparron@msn.com or (218) 779-9984.  You can also check out API's website for great attachment parenting resources at www.attachmentparenting.org.

April:
The Hands on Learning Fair is put on each year to promote learning and activity for children 0-7 years old.  We had a booth for the 4th year in a row.  We had lots of excited kids having fun with our "Wizard of Oz" themed booth.  All of our activities related to the nervous system and helped to teach kids about their bodies.  Each year, children are chosen to sign the proclamation with the Mayor to proclaim the day "Kids Day."  This year, our daughter Hannah was chosen to sign the document.  She got a key to the city and was very excited!  Then she was interviewed for the news--a very exciting day!

December/January:
We got in the Christmas Spirit outside and inside the office.  Food was collected for the local food cupboards and went a long way to helping make Christmas more merry for our community--thank you!  We hope you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

November:
This was our 3rd time decorating a tree for the annual Festival of Trees at the Columbia Mall.  The program is run by the Listen Center and the decorated trees go to families who cannot afford to have a Christmas tree.  Our theme was "Home Sweet Home".

September:
Opening of McSparron Family Chiropractic at its new location.  Open House and Food Drive was a great success!

August:
Before we were even open, we held a Breastfeeding "Nurse In".  The Grand Forks Herald published a great article and pictures promoting breastfeeding.  McSparron Family Chiropractic supports and encourages breastfeeding on the premises (note the window cling of the International Breastfeeding Symbol).
